In the midst of chaos and turmoil, be still...
One of God’s sweetest invitations to us is to “be still, and know that I am God…”. To relax and let go, cease striving, and allow God to lead the way IS the way of divine “rest” that God has prepared for us, the “people of God” (Hebrews 3:6-4:11).
You may already know that this invitation to “rest” comes in the context of turmoil and upset. “God is our refuge and strength”, says Psalm 46:1, “a very present help in time of trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though it’s waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake at its dwelling”. Wow! No matter how tumultuous are your circumstances today, they probably are not so dramatic as mentioned here. So… relax, cease thrashing about, and set your attention to go deeper with God!
What you may not know about this invitation …be still and know… is that this is not the end of the sentence! It goes on to say,” I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in all the earth”! The exaltation of God amongst the nations is NOT dependent upon my striving. In fact, perhaps my “being still”… trusting in Him, abiding in His love….is the greatest contribution I can make today, to His  in all the earth! “My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him.. Trust in Him at all times…God is a refuge for us”(psalm 62:5,8)
Blessings

The hands of God...

The true meaning of ‘Torah’ is something which is rarely talked about in our modern day churches.  As the Apostle Paul said “we are no longer under the Law” but did he mean that we are now free to be ‘lawless’?  Did the God of the Old Testament decide to abandon Plan A when he sent Yeshua to fulfil the ‘Law’?  Let’s look at the evidence with some fresh eyes?

Issachar was known as the ‘Torah Tribe’ and we probably imagine that they wore black and refused to do anything fun – other than reminding everyone of what they were doing wrong!  Please do not be offended – I am not trying to be deliberately facetious; I am simply trying to stir up our thoughts.  Issachar is one of our ‘Tribes’ or ‘Houses’ and it is good for us all to ‘get’ what makes each Tribe uniquely different so that we can appreciate what each brings to the table.

Hopefully, by the time you have read this article, we will have been able to address 3 important areas that are closely related and I promise this will bring significant revelation to what is largely ignored as too ‘difficult’ a topic to be relevant today:

  • What is the Fear of the Lord?
  • Why was it wrong to eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil?
  • What does the original version of the Torah say?

We will begin with the ‘Hand of God’.  I’ve never watched a football match but the world sat up and took notice in 1986 when Diego Maradona scored an ‘impossible’ goal in the quarter finals of the FIFA World Cup.  With the benefit of hindsight, and some fairly grainy camera footage we can now see that as Maradona jumped to head the ball his right hand also directed it into the net.  None of the referees were in a position to confirm a penalty so the goal was allowed and after the match Maradona boldly stated “it was a little with the head of Maradona and a little with the Hand of God!”  Incidentally, the No.10 shirt that Maradona wore was swapped with England midfielder Steve Hodge following the match and sold at auction in 2022 for £7.1 M!

How would you have felt on that day?  Elation, if you were on the Argentinian side at the divine intervention of God!  Or frustration, if you were an England supporter, and indignance at the injustice that God would turn the ‘fate’ of the match in Argentina’s favour?  If a ‘hand’ ball should have been disallowed, then God’s hand should have been disqualified too!

What is the ‘Hand of God’?  If you were into astrology then you might be familiar with the expression ‘Yod’ which they believe to be the ‘Finger of God’ – or ‘Finger of Fate’ to those unwilling to recognise a Supreme Being.  In Exodus 8 we read that when the 3rd Plague struck the land and Egypt struggled with the biting insect infestation, Pharaoh summoned his magicians to replicate the plague, thereby proving that it was all ‘smoke and mirrors’.  Exodus 8:19 the magicians held up their hands in defeat and said ‘This is the finger of God!’ but Pharaoh remained stubborn.

Yod is not an astrological word – it is actually the Hebrew word for the hand.   The hand is an important concept, hence there are several words found in Biblical Hebrew and they each symbolise something quite unique:

Yod = the hand (often referring to the hand of God)

Kaph = the palm (usually of man, expressing availability/vulnerability)

Etsba = finger

Yamin = right hand (as in Benyamin/Benjamin = son of my right hand)

Semol = left hand

We too, in the UK, equate the right hand with greetings, for example, we shake or salute with the right hand.  Engagement and wedding rings are worn on the left hand, here too, as the left hand is believed to be closer to the heart.  In Poland, and other countries, the wedding ring is worn on the right hand and then moved to the left following the death of a spouse.

The right hand is a very important biblical concept.  Ben-Yamin, son of my right hand, was Jacob’s right-hand man in old age.  He could be relied upon to do the ‘right’ thing at the ‘right’ time.  In the New Testament Jesus described how ‘sheep’ would be positioned on the right hand of the Father and ‘goats’ on the left.

Sheep follow the Shepherd; goats do their own thing!  Sheep know the voice of the Shepherd; goats have their own agenda.  Goats may appear to follow the Shepherd for a time because they can see that he is leading the flock towards good pasture but there is no commitment or submission to the Shepherd.  Breeds of goat in the UK are fairly distinguishable but in many countries it is hard to tell the difference.  I was informed once, by a tour guide, that sheep hold their tails down while goats lift their tails up; but I am no expert!

Sheep to the right, goats to the left.  God’s right hand is often used as a metaphor for His power extended towards His chosen ones as divine intervention i.e. to provide and protect.

  • The right hand was used to give the special double blessing usually awarded to the firstborn son; which is why Joseph was annoyed that his father, Jacob, gave the double-blessing to his grandson Ephraim instead of his older brother Manasseh ( Genesis 48:17).

  • The right hand is the hand of power: for example, speaking of how Pharaoh’s chariots were destroyed in the Red Sea: Exodus 15:6,12 “Your right hand, Yahweh, has become glorious in power. Your right hand, Yahweh has dashed the enemies in pieces”….”You reached out with Your right hand and the earth swallowed them”.

  • When Aaron and his sons were consecrated as priests (Exodus 29) the blood from the ram that was sacrificed was placed upon the right ear lobes of Aaron and his sons, and on their right hands, and on the toes of the right feet (v20). Similarly, the wave offering included the right thigh of the ram of ordination (v22) (Also see Leviticus 7:32,33, 8:25.26, 9:21).  The right side was often deemed to be the favoured side.

  • New Testament – Acts 2:33-35 “Therefore, since He has been exalted at the right hand of God, and has received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, He has poured out this which you both see and hear.  For it was not David who ascended into heaven, but he himself says: ‘THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD,“SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES A FOOTSTOOL FOR YOUR FEET.”’

A place of double blessing, a place of power and deliverance.  A place of favour.  This is where Jesus sits at the right hand of God and we can easily miss the nuances without an understanding of the Hebrew concept of the right hand of God.

The Yod is the Hebrew word for a hand, but Yod is also a letter in the Hebrew alphabet and it looks like an apostrophe.  Like a hand reaching down to intervene.

The Hebrew word often used for the ‘Fear of the Lord’ is Yarah and it is derived from the root word YR – which is spelt Yod-Resh.  Hebrew root words ‘contain’ the DNA meaning like building blocks spelling out a message.

Quite simply,

Yod = hand of God or divine intervention

Resh = the head, thoughts, mindset

Together, they mean the intervention of God that impacts the mindset.  To those walking in the ways of the Lord and who have witnessed the goodness of God’s intervention and provision; Yarah will mean ‘respect’, ‘admiration’, ‘awe’.  The terror filled opposite may be equally valid to those who walk according to their own understanding and care less for the Lord as they will become aware of the awesome fear of divine retribution.  Both interpretations are equally valid and give some insight into the expression – ‘the fear of the Lord’.

The word ‘Torah’ is actually derived from this very same root word.  Torah does not mean ‘Law’ – it means ‘instruction’ or ‘teaching’.  The word ‘torah’ is used both of the instruction and guidance given by a parent and the instructions given to Moses on Mt Sinai – there is no difference in the Hebrew.

Proverbs 1:8 “My son hear the instruction of your father and do not forsake the teaching (torah) of your mother”.

Proverbs 6:20,23; “My son keep the command of your father and do not forsake the teaching (torah) of your mother”… “For the command is a lamp and the teaching (torah) a light and reproofs of instruction are  the way of life”.

Inevitably there will come a season when a toddler throws a tantrum refusing to obey the ‘rules’ jeopardising their health and well-being by running onto a busy street, or striking out at their siblings – but it doesn’t mean that the ‘rules’ were bad.  Similarly, a teenager may want to stretch the boundaries by staying out later or having their boyfriend or girlfriend stay over and it may become necessary for the parent/s to ‘lay down the law’ – but it doesn’t mean that the parents were being ‘legalistic’ or harsh.

We are told that Moses spent 40 days up the mountain leaning in to Yahweh, hungry to learn how to lead His people.  We assume that Moses fasted, but we are never told that he deprived his body; indeed he returned for a further 80 days and his face was shining!  We know that our bodies cannot survive even a week without water so Yahweh must have provided for Moses just as He provided manna for 40 years in the wilderness.  God provides and sustains His people.

I believe Moses would be shocked, today, to discover that those incredible months spent with Yahweh when he was coached and instructed by God and given all the answers to how to move forward as the people of God might be ignored and relegated to the back shelf as irrelevant!  To those who had an encounter with God, this instruction, this torah, was precious.  Psalm 19:7, 9, 10:

The laws (torah) of the Lord are perfect, converting the soul.  The testimony of the Lord is pure making wise the simple…. The fear of the Lord is pure enduring forever, the judgements of Yahweh are true and righteous altogether.  More to be desired than gold and fine gold and much sweeter than honey and honeycomb.

Just as the ‘hand of God’ and the ‘fear of the Lord’ can understood very differently, depending on the relationship of the person on the receiving end!  To those who sought to live their lives in relationship with God, as the people of God, God’s instructions were considered a privileged insight into the ways of the Lord.  To those who were only hearing the instructions second-hand as a list of rules and regulations, but without the context of relationship; the Torah was an insurmountable challenge – made worse by centuries of additional manmade laws and clauses!

Ever since the Garden of Eden, there has been a tendency in Man to add to God’s instructions.  Adam was told ‘of the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil’ you may not eat or you will surely die.  Eve was then created and she encountered the serpent in the Garden.  We do not know whether Adam ‘elaborated’ on what he had been instructed, or whether Eve ‘exaggerated’ when she told the serpent that if they even ‘touched’ the fruit, but by ‘adding’ to God’s instruction, God was made out to be either a liar, or incapable of carrying out a threat.

Adam may have believed that by adding another layer to the law/instruction that he could prevent either of them from even coming close to crossing over the line and eating the fruit.  Eve may have believed that touching the fruit was as bad as eating of it; but by confusing God’s instruction with a manmade additional clause she believed that the damage was done when she touched the fruit, so what harm in eating of it too!  Like a person who sabotages their healthy eating plan by overly restricting their diet and then recklessly over-eating as they have ‘failed’ to keep their own restrictive law.  God’s laws and instructions were designed to bring health and wholeness to God’s people; with not an extra ‘dot or title’ added by Man.

Knowledge is good, knowledge brings understanding and we value both intellectual knowledge and common knowledge gained from the University of Life.  Knowledge is good, with God in the equation.  On the contrary, knowledge not born out of humility, love nor relationship, will simply cause us to become puffed up with pride, just as it was in the beginning.

We probably might find it easier to explain the issue with eating of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil if it had simply been the ‘Tree of Evil’!

I love to learn, I love to research and gain understanding, and take me to a bookshop and I am in my element!  So imagine if we could just drink a glass from the font of all knowledge, or eat something which would result in us literally ‘knowing it all’, without any effort or context or hard work!  We would become independent and need no-one to help us, we wouldn’t need to be in relationship with anyone – we would be entirely self-sufficient.  That was the problem!  The knowledge gained from eating the forbidden fruit possibly afforded Adam and Eve the wisdom to live long lives, indeed Adam lived 930 years; but along with a complete download of knowledge concerning ‘good’ and ‘evil’, they would learn that life would never be quite the same again, without God.

Relationship is key to how we ‘fear’ God, how we regard God’s instructions/teaching, and whether we confuse God’s teaching with the vast myriad of additional man-made laws and clauses that have been added to God’s teaching over many thousands of years – since the Garden of Eden, to be precise.

When Paul spoke of being ‘under the Law’ in 1 Corinthians 9:19-21 we possibly overlook the fact that he was well versed in the Law as he was well educated in the extra laws contained within the Talmud and the Midrash which sought to bring enlightenment to the Talmud and the Tanakh (Torah, Prophets and Writings contained within the Old Testament) and countless additional writings not contained within the canon of scripture.  So when Paul spoke of those ‘under the Law’ he was referring to those burdened with all of the additional teachings/torah of man.  He possibly would have also been clarifying that being in a relationship meant that he wasn’t ‘under’ anything – for the laws of the Lord were a pleasure to observe as a wife or husband who loves to serve their spouse.  When Paul encountered God on the Damascus Road he began a journey of realisation that the laws of man, however well meaning, had brought burden and confusion and Jesus had brought the true Torah or Law of God into proper focus when He fulfilled it for 33 years.

Not all of the laws are relevant today, for example, there is no Temple, so we don’t need to worry about observing the sacrificial laws, but we will look next time at aspects of the torah which have been dismissed somewhat prematurely that may well be worth reconsidering.

Hello Ireland Destiny Hub!

It is my joy to bring to you this prophetic devotional for the month of January. Every year for the past few years, God has given us at FireHouse an individual word or phrase that helps us steer the ship of ministry into the year. I would like to take the time now to illuminate the steps you can take to also hear from God and receive a governing word that you can take into your year personally.

Why a Governing Word?  A prophetic governing word does a few things to help anchor you in the way that God wants you
to go during a certain season.
• It can assist in making choices
• It can help you understand how to weather the storms or difficulties of the year
• It can establish you in a place of peace when things don’t go as planned
• It can act as prayer points during individual or corporate prayer meetings

Notice that I use the phrase “prophetic governing” word. That is because this carries with it the idea that it establishes leadership or governance over what you put your hand to. Sometimes prophetic words come about as we serve Jesus. Sometimes prophetic words come about in deep intercession and waiting on God. But a prophetic governing word helps you with leadership decisions for your own life, or the ministries you serve.

Examples of a Governing Word:
This year, the governing word for FireHouse is ABIDE. This word came out of my study from John 15, when the Lord showed me what happens AFTER we are pruned.  Last year, the governing word that God gave me for myself individually was INSIGHT. I admit, when He gave it to me, I was surprised! But I looked up the definition of the word and that definition really spoke to me. Sure enough, the word INSIGHT really governed my decisions last year.

How to Get a Governing Word for Yourself in 2024

1. Start by getting yourself into a time with Jesus. Whether that is worship, praying in tongues, silence and solitude – whatever you do to place yourself at the feet of Jesus in the Spirit realm.

2. Now, ask for your word! Jesus knows that we need the encouragement that the governing word will bring us for 2024. We know that when we ask, He answers as a good Father.  Here is a prayer that can you pray:

God the Father, Jesus the Son, and Precious Holy Spirit: I thank you that you are capable of giving me a word to govern my steps in the coming year. I ask that you will make it clear to me that you are choosing this governing word to direct my year. I ask that you would help me hear you correctly.  Amen.

3. Now, as you go about your Bible reading, or prayer, be ready to hear from the Lord what your governing word is for the year. It may pop up in conversation with others, or it may just rest in your spirit quietly. The point here is to TURN ON YOUR AWARENESS. Part of praying in faith means that we know that God hears and answers us. So be prepared to receive your answer!

4. If you do not have a word within three days, repeat the above steps. God WILL answer you!

What to Do with your Governing Word

Each person is different but I like to use the Canva (canva.com) graphic design creator to create a desktop image for my computer. Then, all year long I have the images and words that are guiding my year up on my desktop computer. You can do the same for your phone! Here is my image for 2024:

If this is an art project that doesn’t suit your fancy, then I recommend putting your word:

• On a post it on your bathroom mirror

• Print it out on your computer and put it on your refrigerator

• Write it at the beginning of your prayer journal

• Or do a crochet pillow, paint a picture, or any matter of art-related way to keep that word before you for 2024

This is instruction that God gave Habakkuk as well when He told that prophet to “Write the vision, and make it plain…” (Hab 2:2). When we keep our governing word before us it will be an ongoing reminder for the year that God is designing our steps.  I would love to hear your testimonies or see the pictures you create! You can show them off at my social media page on Facebook at Angela M. Meer.

God bless you IDH!

“For I say, in the last season I told you to open the doors, go through the doors and go through the double doors.

But in this new season, I say go through the gates, I say these are bigger times” saith the Lord of Hosts.

“These are times to take the land, take the land for me”, saith the Lord, For I have Anointed the land, I have marked the land” saith the Lord.

So move forward and accept that which I am making available to you move forward in these days and move among the people and stir their hearts” saith the Lord

“Move among the people move among the people, for I say it is time for an Outpouring, it is time for them to come to me, it is time for the multitudes to come” saith the Lord

“It is time for the many and I say on to you, I will not leave one behind” saith the Lord.

“So I have marked my people and I have called those that I have chosen. And I say onto you those that are willing need to come running and they will run they will come running, I say onto you Rise up my people go through the Gates, go through the Gates and reach out to the people because they are walking around not knowing what is happening, not understanding what life is about”.

“They have been taught and trained in all the wrong things the opposite to that which I called my people to be.

So I say onto you move forward and advance into the multitudes and bring, bring them because once you release them through the Word,…I say they will follow you and they will come, they will come to me.

So do not fear, because it is time and they will come running.

I say unto you, I am sending Leaders from around the world into this Country saith the Lord, and I say they are now starting to Open up those doors, and they shall Open the doors and you shall Open the doors” saith the Lord.

“Have I not said the fields are ripe onto harvest?

I say, Now is the time for the Harvesting. The people are walking around the fields not knowing what way to go.

They’re looking in all the wrong places but I say unto you, I will catch their attention…..I will get their attention. I will get them to look to Me” saith the Lord,

“So reap the harvest at this time because the Reapers need to go. The Reapers need to go and reap because their hearts are ready.

Their hearts are ready. And the more that come many will follow. Double portion, double Anointing double, double everything” saith the Lord.

“Everything shall Double as one crowd comes the next crows will be double. I say onto you the Double Anointing is coming. Double” saith the Lord, “DOUBLE, DOUBLE, Hallelujah!”

“Purify this nation of the evil that Satan has had a stronghold on for too long.

But I,” saith the Lord, “I am cleansing these lands.

..The Rains of Restoration will fall on these lands. Walk forward walk forward my people. Keep your eyes focused on me. Come into the secret place with me individually, Come and I shall show you the way and guide you into what I have for you!”

I saw warriors rising as from the valley of dry bones
Recently I saw the film Spartacus on tv and what I saw were hundreds of slaves that had been crucified all hanging either side of a long road. I saw them all dressed in pyjamas. They were all people who had died falling asleep in Christ ( in my vision) I saw Jesus walk down the road between them and breathe on them and they came back to life, like Aslan breathing on the statues and they came back to life, or like Ezekiel 37 when breath was breathed into the dry bones.
I then saw that Spartacus himself had a Bride and child and they had been captured. He didn’t know where they were or if they were safe. They were both released and free; but as they were leaving they saw him hanging on the cross. They went over to him and told him that they were free and a peace came over him knowing that they were safe and he then died.
I ‘just’ felt it was so powerful in that that was Jesus on the cross for our freedom and once he had taken all the sin on him to set us (his Bride and child) free when he died.
This morning I also saw lots of us begin to take up our shields – the shields of Faith, speaking forth the word; and swords to join the army of the Lord.  The word may offend and be unpalatable to some, but we must pick up our tools and join the rest of God’s army without fear.  Revelation 10:9-11

“And I went to the angel and said, “Give me the small scroll.”  “Take it and eat it,” he said. “It will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.  So I took the small scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it; and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth, but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned bitter.  And they told me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples and nations and tongues and kings”.

House of Simeon Devotional Day 9 : A Divine Invitation to Intimacy by Linda G Bennett

It is easy to lose sight of the divine realm—the Throne Room of God In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives.
Imagine a place where heaven meets earth, where the Almighty sits on His throne, radiating majesty and glory. This sacred space beckons us, inviting us into an intimate encounter with the Creator of the universe. The Throne Room is not merely a distant concept; it is a spiritual reality accessible to every believer. In Revelation 4, John, the Apostle, gives us a glimpse into this heavenly sanctuary. Picture it: a throne set in heaven, surrounded by a rainbow of emerald green, with flashes of lightning and peals of thunder. The elders bow in worship, declaring, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty.” There also the seraphim fly in the throne room crying ‘’Holy, Holy, Holy’ as they discover new facets of the One who sits on the throne.
As we meditate on this vision, let it serve as a reminder of our invitation into the Throne Room through faith in Jesus Christ. The Lord extends His hand, inviting us to draw near boldly (Hebrews 4:16). It’s not a distant, unattainable place; it’s where we find grace in times of need. Furthermore, the Throne Room is a place of prophetic revelation. As we enter into the presence of God, He unveils His purposes for our lives.
Jeremiah 29:11 assures us that His plans are for our welfare, to give us a future and a hope. In the Throne Room, God speaks, guiding us with His wisdom and lighting the path ahead. Embracing the reality of the Throne Room transforms our perspective on life’s challenges. When faced with adversity, let us remember that we serve a sovereign God seated on the throne. Nothing escapes His notice, and every circumstance is under His control.
As we apply this truth, let’s cultivate a lifestyle of worship and prayer. Enter the Throne Room daily through prayer, laying your burdens before the King. In His presence, you’ll find peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). The challenges of life may be real, but the One on the throne is greater. Moreover, let the Throne Room encounter inspire a life of holiness. Just as the elders continuously declare God’s holiness, let our lives reflect His character. Set aside time for repentance and consecration, allowing the Holy Spirit to purify and sanctify you. Let us bow our heads in prayer, acknowledging the privilege of entering the Throne Room: Heavenly Father, we come before Your majestic throne with gratitude and awe.
Thank You for the invitation to enter Your presence through the blood of Jesus. We acknowledge Your sovereignty over our lives and surrender every burden at Your feet. Scripture Reference: Hebrews 4:16 (NIV) – “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” As we conclude, may the Throne Room encounter resonate in our hearts daily. Walk in the assurance that the One who sits on the throne is with you, guiding, protecting, and unfolding His plans for your life. The Throne Room is not a distant dream but a reality you can enter into through faith, prayer, and worship. May you live each day as a reflection of the holy encounter you have with the King of kings. Amen.

Victor Mitchell : Thus Far And No Further

Roz Mitchell

There was an urgency about this ROAR over the Body of Christ today. There is a boldness and an authority that comes with this declaration that is coming from Heaven’s Throne Room, coming to individuals, but also coming to the Bride of Christ who has been letting the enemy take ground.

My Ecclesia, My Bride, RISE UP with swords in hand. Stand to attention and draw your sword in a line in front of you. Look at your enemy, the devil, and his numerous hordes of demons and draw a line in the sand for your enemy to see. Declare with everything within you, “THUS FAR SATAN, AND NO FURTHER.”

I hear the Lord say that now is a time of declaration into the enemy’s camp, just as Gideon and God’s selected 300 men, with their fire pitchers in their hands, and the shout of the Lord in their mouths, they brought confusion to the enemy’s camp and victory to their own.

Decree and declare with all that is within you, that the Battle is the LORD’s, no matter what, no matter where, no matter who!  Let everything within you shout to the LORD. It is time to ROAR with the authority that the Lord has given us. Shout, for the battle is the LORD’s, and having done everything else, in our own strength and might, Shout, Decree and Declare, for the Lord is good and His mercies endure forever.

The frost that covers the ground is sent to break up the fallow soil and destroy the harmful bugs. “So, it shall be as you Declare and Shout and Decree, MY LIVING WORDS over your life and your families’ lives,” declares the Lord.

No FURTHER, to have wrack and ruin over our lives.

No longer to bring wrack and ruin over our spouse’s life.

No longer to bring wrack and ruin over our children’s lives.

No longer to bring wrack and ruin over our parents’ lives.

No longer to bring wrack and ruin over our generations’ lives.

No more to bring wrack and ruin over our health.

No more to bring wrack and ruin over our provision and finances.

No more to bring wrack and ruin over our work.

No more to bring wrack and ruin over our ministries.

No more to bring wrack and ruin over our businesses.

No more to bring wrack and ruin over our thoughts.

No more to bring wrack and ruin over our understanding.

No more to bring wrack and ruin over the creative aspects of our lives.

No more to bring wrack and ruin over the things that are of GOD in our lives.

The enemy has come in, with lovely words and nice thoughts; with busy schedules and people who ‘need’ us. He is keeping us focused and distracted with his plans and his agendas. He is keeping us busy and pre-occupied doing ‘good’! The enemy knows how to play at our heart strings, for he is a master of deception, and he will try to overwhelm us and push us down, gradually, slowly, he is not in any rush, his long-term goal is to keep us all off our target.

Funny! When an archer missed his target in medieval times, he was told that he had sinned.  He knew exactly what had happened and so he adjusted for the next time he would shoot his arrow at the target.  The word ‘sinned’ in medieval times was said to be, that the archer missed his targeted. The enemy wants us to MISS the targets that Abba Father has placed for us. The enemy wants to side track us so that we miss the mark of the high calling of God upon our lives.

Let the Sword of the Spirit of Life bring about divine strategies and counter measures to stop the rise of the enemy in the land today. Let us stand, having done everything else that we can physically do.  Let us stand and see the Lord defeat the enemy before our very eyes. Let us sever all partnerships that have arisen from not having those Godly hedges and boundaries of protection around us. As we yield our lives afresh to Yahweh today, may we allow ABBA Father to take those ungodly partnerships, and ungodly soul-ties and cut them off!

THUS FAR AND NO FURTHER.

Declare with the help and power of The Ruach Holy Spirit, that as you stand up for the Lord, remember that your enemy is a liar, a deceiver, and an absolute thug. Realise today, if God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31

That the King of Glory may come in ...
As a husband, father, friend and son, I find that spending time in the Book of Psalms helps me to stay encouraged, expectant, empowered and focused.  As we crossed over into the New Year Psalms 24 has been particularly highlighted to me, and it has ministered to me powerfully in the area of Intimacy.
Intimacy with God is an essential aspect of the Christian faith. It is in this close relationship that believers find comfort, guidance, and strength. The Book of Psalms offers a rich source for cultivating Intimacy with God, and Psalm 24, in particular, provides profound insights into this divine connection with the Father.
Psalm 24 begins with the acknowledgment that the earth and everything in it belongs to the Lord. “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it” (Psalm 24:1).  This verse sets the tone for the rest of the psalm, emphasizing that God is the ultimate owner and ruler of all creation and recognizing God’s Sovereignty helps to lay the foundation for a lifestyle of deeper Intimacy with Him.
As the psalm progresses, the focus shifts to the requirements of those who seek to enter God’s presence. “Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?” (Psalm 24:3).  The psalmist answers these questions by highlighting the importance of living a righteous life. It is through righteousness and purity of heart that believers can approach God and experience intimacy with Him.
The psalmist continues to describe the characteristics of those who seek intimacy with God. They are people who have clean hands and a pure heart, who do not trust in idols or swear falsely (Psalm 24:4). This description emphasizes the need for believers to live a life of integrity and devotion to God. It is through these qualities that a deep connection with Him can be fostered.
The psalm concludes with a powerful declaration of God’s glory and majesty. “Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in” (Psalm 24:7). This verse signifies the invitation for God’s presence to dwell among His people. It is a reminder that the pursuit of intimacy with God should be an ongoing process, as believers continually open the “gates” of their hearts to welcome Him.
In reflecting on Psalm 24, we can draw several key principles to cultivate intimacy with God.
Firstly, we must acknowledge His sovereignty, recognizing that He is the ultimate owner and ruler of our lives and the world.
Secondly, we need to live a righteous life, striving for purity of heart and integrity in our actions.
And Lastly, we must continuously invite God into our hearts and lives, opening the gates for His Glory to Come In!

AI generated white house on a hill that is emitting light like a beacon
The Lord says I am calling for WHITE houses to become my LIGHT HOUSES!  Before you can carry the light of His glory YOU need to become white as snow:
Revelation 21:5-8 NIV
[5] He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” [6] He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. [7] Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. [8] But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
Father is calling for us to submit to a purging by His blood and His fire ,to wash off us the dirt of sinful thoughts, behaviors and traditions and to burn everything in us that still resembles soulish desires.  WHEN we are purged ,we are consecrated and set apart as white houses after which He releases the light of His glory INTO and THROUGH YOU.  ONLY THEN can we become the LIGHT house who shines forth His glory upon people, cities and nations.  As His lighthouses we become the beacon of light directing the lost in the darkness ,we become Holy Spirits’s GPS ,navigating those lost at sea (the nations) towards the light , HIS LIGHT ,HIS GLORY, but we also become the ILLUMINATION FOR REVELATION to those in the body of Christ!
Lighthouses also perform a watchman function in that they observe threats coming from the ocean like storms and enemy attacks, this is KEY to the watchmen required on the walls of nations!  The Light from these lighthouses is GLORY LIGHT and it ILLUMINATES EVERYTHING IN ITS PATHWAY ,the light of God’s glory will not only shine upon you it will shine right THROUGH you like a x-ray or MRI scan it will reveal ALLLLLLLLL INSIDE YOU both good and bad.
The light will expose the darkness as it shines through you.  It will expose the wounds.  It will expose the counterfeit.  It will cause : first a manifestation , as what is in you that isn’t like Him , will manifest because it’s being exposed.  His light REVEALS TRUTH and EXPOSES DECEPTION that will make many feel uncomfortable, resistant and even confrontational because they don’t want the light to shine on the dark places which have become comfortable hiding places where His light doesn’t dwell.  That’s when inner healing and deliverance comes in:
Matthew 5:14-16 ESV
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
God is calling for a people willing to go through the process of transfiguration so they can become WHITE HOUSES.   He needs this so that His LIGHTHOUSES can enter nations and illuminate everything that is not like God allowing the spirit to make course corrections and bring divine order.  Psalm 43:3 ESV
Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling.  We ALL love the GLORY but are you ready for THAT SAME GLORY light to shine IN YOU as much as THROUGH you to expose what’s not like Him?  Well, get ready because the lighthouses of glory are here!  White houses serving as lighthouses releasing His light in the nations ,bringing them to transfiguration through the GLORY REALM.
Will you say YES after counting the cost to become one of them?  Are you willing to humble yourself where His light exposes darkness that is still in you ?
Help us Holy Spirit 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones

A friend requested prayer for her child who needed extra support in school and these were my thoughts as I prayed over the situation. I feel as I revisit my journal that it is for everyone – myself included!

We’re all in the same system. We all transact in a system that is not Godly. By handing EVERYTHING to God (which is hard to do. I get that) and saying it’s Your will for this situation not mine is freeing, not because we’re moving the responsibility off ourselves and on Him but we allow Him to actually work in our lives.

Yes we are stuck saying we need these grades, this amount of money to live on etc  but by handing it over He can work and put us in the places that He needs us to be in.

Trust.

Our heads are mostly on ground level. I know as I’m battling at work against something that is so insignificant in the kingdom that it’s almost laughable. It wastes and consumes my time at work whilst I should be praying for the things that God had put on my heart to pray for.

Height

To try and take ourselves higher and see form His perspective is also not an easy thing to do. As we have to lift ourselves out of what we know and have comfort in, to a place of looking at the bigger picture. Really everything we do should be to advance his kingdom and not build our own. As we know, there are many different ways that we can do that

Perspective

This is not a pointy finger or to be condemning, at anyone and I include myself in this too. It’s a journey that we are all on. If anything be honest with yourself and see the strongholds that you didn’t know were still there and are holding on to.

We (as we know) are meant to be in the world but not of it.

Totally trust in Him today and each new day.

❤️
